Is the Mecale climbing set worth it?

At $84.98 at Macy's as of November 5, 2026, it is a reasonable price for a six-piece foam set with removable covers. Comparable sets from larger brands often cost more. It suits families who want indoor active play without a permanent play structure.

Mecale rates the set for ages 3 and up. Younger toddlers can use the flat mat and low blocks with supervision, but the stair and arch are sized for preschoolers.

Can the covers be washed?

Yes. The velvet covers zip off, so you can machine wash them on a gentle cycle and air dry. Check the care label before washing.

Six pieces: a stair, an arch, a slide, a rectangle block, a cylinder and a flat cushion mat. No tools or assembly are needed.

How much space does it need?

Plan for roughly a 4-by-6-foot area when the pieces are laid out as a ramp and steps. The pieces stack into a smaller footprint for storage.

Macy's is the only store listing a new price as of November 5, 2026, so discounts depend on Macy's sales. Watch for sitewide home or toy promotions rather than comparing across stores.
