  • Kit weight and bulk are high compared with a single bare tool

  • Build quality and case
Cons
  • Battery drain on the grinder under continuous use
  • Cost of the kit

Questions and answers

Is this kit worth $399?
If you need both a drill/driver and a grinder and want them on one battery system, the kit price is reasonable for two FUEL tools plus batteries and a case. If you only need one tool, buy that tool bare and save.
Does the grinder take 5 in. wheels?
Yes. It is rated for 4-1/2 in. to 5 in. wheels, so both common sizes fit.
What comes in the box?
Two FUEL tools, M18 lithium-ion batteries, a charger and a carrying case. Confirm the exact battery count and Ah rating on the listing before ordering.
How long do the batteries last on the grinder?
Grinding is the heaviest draw in this kit. Expect noticeably shorter runtime than with the drill, and plan on spare packs for long cutting sessions.
Is it cheaper at other stores?
As of November 3, 2026, Home Depot lists it at $399 and it is the only new-price listing tracked. Check back for holiday promotions, when Milwaukee kits often drop.
Do the batteries work with other Milwaukee tools?
Yes. M18 batteries fit the full M18 line, so the packs are useful beyond these two tools.
