About the MERACH 50LBS Adjustable Dumbbell Set, Pair

The MERACH 50LBS Adjustable Dumbbell Set is a pair of metal-plate dumbbells that adjust from light to heavy loads, aimed at home lifters who want one set instead of a rack. Metal plates are more durable than plastic or concrete-filled plates and hold up to drops better. At $127.99 at Wayfair as of November 3, 2026, it sits at the low end of what a 50 lb adjustable pair typically costs.

    • Questions and answers

Is the MERACH 50LBS adjustable set worth it?
At $127.99 at Wayfair as of November 3, 2026, it is a cheap way into adjustable dumbbells with metal plates. If you change weights often and want speed, a dial system costs more but saves time.
How much weight does each dumbbell hold?
The set is sold as a 50 lb pair, so plan on roughly 25 lb per dumbbell at full load. Check the listing for the exact plate breakdown before buying.
How does it compare with dial or selector dumbbells?
Dial and selector dumbbells change weight in seconds but cost several times more. The MERACH uses metal plates you load by hand, which is slower but sturdier and cheaper.
Are metal plates better than plastic ones?
Yes for durability. Metal plates resist cracking and chipping, while plastic or concrete-filled plates can break if dropped.
    What comes in the box?
Expect two dumbbell handles, the metal plates for each, and locking collars. Confirm whether a storage stand is included, since some listings sell it separately.
    When is the price lowest?
Adjustable dumbbells usually dip during Black Friday and January fitness sales. The current $127.99 at Wayfair is already near the bottom of the usual range.
