Is the Puckipuppy DJone Boxer worth $1,499.99?

At $1,499.99 at Puckipuppy as of November 4, 2026, it is priced in line with other full-suspension fat-tire e-bikes. You get hydraulic brakes, front and rear shocks and a 400 lb capacity, which is a lot for the money. Only one store lists it new, so watch for a drop rather than expecting a cheaper rival listing.

How far can it really go on a charge?

Puckipuppy rates the maximum range at 80 miles. Expect noticeably less at 28 mph, on hills or with a heavy rider and gear. Treat 80 miles as a best case on low assist.

Is it legal on trails and roads?

Its 28 mph top speed is Class 3 territory in the US, which many trails and some states restrict. Check local rules before riding paths that ban Class 3 e-bikes. On roads it is generally treated like a bicycle.

What size rider does it fit?

Puckipuppy lists it for riders aged 18 to 70 and rates the load capacity at 400 lbs. The 26-inch fat tires and full-suspension frame suit adults of most heights. Check the standover height before buying if you are short.

How does it compare with a hardtail fat-tire e-bike?

The rear shock and 4-inch tires absorb roots and rocks that a hardtail passes straight to the rider. The trade-off is more weight and more parts to maintain. For hunting and rough ground the suspension is worth it; for paved commuting a hardtail is lighter and cheaper.

The best new price is $1,499.99 at Puckipuppy as of November 4, 2026. With only one new listing, discounts depend on that store, so compare against its own price history before buying.
