Puckipuppy rates it for up to 28 mph, an 80-mile maximum range and a 400 lb load capacity. Best forHunters and trail riders on rough groundHeavy riders who need a 400 lb capacityRiders who want full suspension and fat tiresBuyers wanting one bike for road and off-road
Pros
  • Full suspension with front and rear shocks softens rough terrain
  • 26 x 4.0-inch fat tires handle sand, mud and loose ground
  • Hydraulic disc brakes give strong, consistent stopping power
  • Rated to 28 mph and up to 80 miles of maximum range
  • 400 lb load capacity suits larger riders and gear
  • 6061 aluminum frame keeps weight reasonable for a fat-tire e-bike
Cons
  • 80 miles is a maximum figure; real range drops with speed, hills and rider weight
  • 28 mph puts it in Class 3 territory, which some trails and states restrict
  • Fat tires and full suspension add weight and drag on pavement
  • Only one store lists it new, so price competition is limited
  • No listed weight figure makes shipping and storage hard to plan

Questions and answers

Is the Puckipuppy DJone Boxer worth $1,499.99?
At $1,499.99 at Puckipuppy as of November 4, 2026, it is priced in line with other full-suspension fat-tire e-bikes. You get hydraulic brakes, front and rear shocks and a 400 lb capacity, which is a lot for the money. Only one store lists it new, so watch for a drop rather than expecting a cheaper rival listing.
How far can it really go on a charge?
Puckipuppy rates the maximum range at 80 miles. Expect noticeably less at 28 mph, on hills or with a heavy rider and gear. Treat 80 miles as a best case on low assist.
Is it legal on trails and roads?
Its 28 mph top speed is Class 3 territory in the US, which many trails and some states restrict. Check local rules before riding paths that ban Class 3 e-bikes. On roads it is generally treated like a bicycle.
What size rider does it fit?
Puckipuppy lists it for riders aged 18 to 70 and rates the load capacity at 400 lbs. The 26-inch fat tires and full-suspension frame suit adults of most heights. Check the standover height before buying if you are short.
How does it compare with a hardtail fat-tire e-bike?
The rear shock and 4-inch tires absorb roots and rocks that a hardtail passes straight to the rider. The trade-off is more weight and more parts to maintain. For hunting and rough ground the suspension is worth it; for paved commuting a hardtail is lighter and cheaper.
When is it cheapest?
The best new price is $1,499.99 at Puckipuppy as of November 4, 2026. With only one new listing, discounts depend on that store, so compare against its own price history before buying.
Where is the Puckipuppy DJone Boxer Full-Suspension E-Bike cheapest?
At Puckipuppy, for $1,499.99, 52% off, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Puckipuppy DJone Boxer Full-Suspension E-Bike?
Rated 4.7 out of 5 from 2,600 ratings.
