Is the Targhee III Mid truly waterproof?

Yes. Keen uses a waterproof membrane under the leather and mesh upper, so rain and shallow puddles stay out. Prolonged submersion is not covered.

How does it fit compared with the Targhee II?

The Targhee line runs true to size for most women, and the III keeps a similar fit with a slightly updated upper. Try your usual size first.

Is it good for summer hiking?

It works for three-season use, but the waterproof membrane traps heat. In hot, dry weather a breathable low-cut shoe is cooler.

Does it need breaking in?

Most owners wear it comfortably right away. Some report a stiff first few wears, so short walks before a long hike help.

What is the best price right now?
