Questions and answers

Is this strip really safe to leave outside?: It is rated waterproof and runs on 12V, which is safer outdoors than mains voltage. Still seal any exposed connections and mount the power supply in a dry spot.
Will the far end be as bright as the start?: On a 100 ft 12V run, voltage drop usually makes the last section dimmer and slightly color-shifted. A higher-wattage 12V supply helps.
Does it work with Alexa and Google Assistant?: Yes, the listing states support for both. You need the matching app and a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection for voice control.
Can it show plain white light?: It is an RGB strip, so white is mixed from red, green and blue and looks cool and slightly tinted. It is not a true-white or tunable-white strip.
What do I need to install 100 ft outdoors?: Plan on mounting clips or an aluminum channel, since the adhesive fails on rough or wet surfaces. Check that the included power supply is rated for the full length.
When is the best time to buy?: Outdoor lighting tends to drop around spring sales and holiday weekends. Ask our agent to compare store prices and the price history before you buy.
