Is the M4 iPad Air worth it over the M2 or M3 model?

If you already own an M2 or M3 iPad Air, the jump is modest for everyday use. Buyers coming from an older iPad or a base iPad get a much faster chip, more memory and Wi-Fi 7.

How much storage should I get?

The base model has 128GB. That is fine for streaming, browsing and notes, but if you shoot video, download movies or keep large games, a higher-capacity model is safer.

Does it work with Apple Pencil Pro and the Magic Keyboard?

Yes. It supports Apple Pencil Pro and the Magic Keyboard for iPad Air, both sold separately. Older Pencil and keyboard models may not fit.

Is the display bright enough for outdoor use?

At 500 nits it is readable in shade but can look washed out in direct sunlight. The iPad Pro's display is brighter if you often work outdoors.

Its recent low is $549 at bkstr.com as of November 5, 2026, against a high of $649.99. Discounts tend to appear around back-to-school and holiday sales.
