Our take on the 4WD 1:12 2.4G Electric Remote Control RC Monster Car Truck Off-Road Vehicle

This is a 1:12 scale electric monster truck with four-wheel drive and 2.4 GHz radio control, sold as a ready-to-run off-road basher. The 4WD drivetrain and monster-truck tires are the main draw: it can handle grass, dirt and gravel that rear-drive toy trucks struggle with. The 2.4 GHz radio lets several trucks run at once without interference. It is a hobby-grade-lite toy rather than a serious racer, so judge it on price and parts support rather than spec sheet claims.

Questions and answers

Is this truck worth it for a beginner?
Yes, if you want a simple 4WD basher for grass and dirt. It is not a hobby-grade racer, so don't expect high speed or precise handling.
How long does the battery last?
Expect roughly 15 to 25 minutes per charge depending on surface and throttle use. Buy a spare battery pack if you plan long sessions.
What is in the box?
Typically the truck, a 2.4 GHz transmitter, a rechargeable battery pack and a USB charger. Check the listing for the exact battery count and charger type before buying.
Can several of these run at the same time?
Yes. The 2.4 GHz radio pairs each transmitter to its own truck, so several can run together without interference.
Does it come with a battery and charger?
Most versions include one battery and a USB charger. Confirm the included battery capacity, since run time depends heavily on it.
When is it cheapest?
Prices on this class of RC truck usually dip during holiday sales and back-to-school events. Compare across stores and check the price history before buying.
