Is the 70mai Omni worth it over a standard front dashcam?

If you want cabin and side coverage from one unit, yes. A plain front camera is cheaper and simpler, but it will not see a rear-side impact or record inside the car.

Do I need the hardwire kit?

For AI Motion and collision-triggered rotation, yes. Those parking-mode features need the hardwire kit, which is not included. Basic driving recording works with the standard power cable.

How much storage do I need?

Pick 128GB if you want the longest loop before overwriting. The 32GB version is fine for short commutes, but footage fills faster with 360° recording.

Can it record front and rear at once?

No. There is one lens on a rotating head, so it points where the motor aims it. For simultaneous front and rear footage, add a separate rear camera.

Does it work with the 70mai app?

Yes. The 70mai app connects over Wi-Fi to view and download clips and change settings. 4G features need a separate connection.

70mai dashcams tend to drop during major sales events and when a newer model launches. Check the price history chart before buying.

What do buyers say about the 70mai Omni Dashcam?

Our take on the 70mai Omni Dashcam

The 70mai Omni is a dashcam built around a 360° rotating head: a stepping motor swings the lens up to 340°, and the 140° field of view lets it cover the cabin and both sides as well as the road. It records in HDR through an F1.5 aperture for better night footage, adds ADAS alerts and voice control, and stores video on built-in eMMC in 32GB, 64GB or 128GB. The AI Motion and collision features that turn the camera toward an impact need the hardwire kit, which is sold separately.
