Questions and answers

Is this flooring good for a bathroom?
Yes. The core is waterproof and the click-lock edges resist moisture, which is why it is listed for bathrooms and kitchens. Wipe up standing water rather than letting it pool.
Is 12 MIL enough for a busy household?
12 MIL is a light-traffic wear layer. It suits bathrooms, bedrooms and rentals, but a busy kitchen or a home with large dogs would do better with 20 MIL or more.
How thick is the plank and what does that mean?
It is 5 mm thick. That is on the thin side for vinyl plank, so it sits low under doors and transitions but can sound hollow and feel less solid than 6 to 8 mm products.
Do I need underlayment?
Most click-lock vinyl planks need a flat, clean subfloor and often a thin underlayment for sound and comfort. Check the manufacturer's instructions for your subfloor type before installing.
Is this a good price?
The best new price is $42.42 at Home Depot as of November 4, 2026, and only one store lists it. With no competing listings, there is little room to shop around, so compare the per-square-foot cost against other 12 MIL planks.
Where is the A&A Surfaces White Ocean Click Lock Waterproof Vinyl Plank Flooring 12 MIL 12 in. x 24 in. cheapest?
At Home Depot, for $42.42, as of our latest check.
