Is the Addi Express Kingsize worth it?

If you make hats, toys or blankets in bulky yarn and want them fast, yes. If you mostly knit fine garments by hand, a cheaper loom or hand knitting may serve you better.

How does it compare to the standard Addi Express?

The Kingsize has 46 needles and knits up to about 17.7 inches wide, versus 22 needles and roughly 13.75 inches on the standard model. Choose Kingsize for adult hats and blankets, the standard for finer yarn and smaller pieces.

What yarn weights work in it?

It is rated for US 6 to US 11, about 4 to 8 mm. Bulky and worsted yarns feed most reliably; very thin yarns can slip or drop stitches.

What comes in the box?

The machine, a row counter, a pattern and one maker yarn cake. You supply your own yarn and a table or clamp setup to hold it steady.

Does it need power or batteries?

No. It is fully manual and runs on the hand crank, so it works anywhere.
