Our take on the Etcokei knitting mill, electric knitting machine for creative projects

The Etcokei W-044I is a compact circular knitting machine in white ABS plastic, sold with two tension weights and a one-year warranty. It is a hobby-grade tool for cranking out tubes, hats, scarves and small flat panels quickly, not a substitute for a full-size flat-bed machine. At $39.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against. Budget buyers should treat it as an entry-level toy-to-craft crossover rather than a serious mill.

Questions and answers

Is the Etcokei W-044I worth $39.99?
For occasional hats, scarves and craft projects, yes. It is a plastic hobby machine, so do not expect the durability or stitch range of a metal flat-bed knitter.
What can it actually knit?
The circular form factor makes tubes: hats, cowls, scarves and sleeves. Small flat panels are possible but awkward, and shaped garments are not its job.
What comes in the box?
The machine itself plus two tension weights, per the listing. Yarn and a needle are not stated as included, so plan to supply your own.
Is it good for kids?
It suits supervised older children and teens, since cranking is simple. The plastic parts and tension weights are not meant for rough handling.
Is $39.99 a good price?
It is the only new price listed as of November 4, 2026, so there is nothing to compare it to. Check used and bundle listings before assuming it is a deal.
Where is the Etcokei knitting mill, electric knitting machine for creative projects cheapest?
At Amazon, for $39.99, as of our latest check.
