Our take on the Aiheal Electric Burr Coffee Bean Grinder

The Aiheal is a budget electric burr grinder with 18 grind settings and an 8.8 oz hopper, aimed at drip, espresso and French press brewing. It mixes stainless steel, plastic and wood in the body, which is unusual at this price. The best new price is $43.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, and only 2 stores list it new, so price competition is thin. At under $50 it undercuts most burr grinders, which typically start around $60 to $100.

Best forFirst burr grinder on a tight budgetDrip and French press drinkersSmall households grinding a few cups a dayBuyers upgrading from a blade grinder
Pros
  • Real burr grinding at a blade-grinder price
  • 18 settings cover drip through espresso ranges
  • 8.8 oz hopper holds enough for several brews
  • Stainless steel and wood finish looks better than typical budget plastic
  • Simple dial operation with no app or digital menus
Cons
  • Only 2 stores carry it new, so price and stock are limited
  • Plastic body parts on a grinder marketed with steel and wood
  • 18 steps is coarse adjustment; fine espresso dialing is limited
  • Little brand track record or service network compared with Baratza or Breville

Questions and answers

Is the Aiheal burr grinder worth it?
At $43.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is one of the cheapest electric burr grinders you can buy. It suits drip and French press well. If you need precise espresso grinding, spend more on a stepless grinder.
Can it grind fine enough for espresso?
It has 18 settings and espresso is listed as a use case, but the steps are wide. It can get close, yet fine-tuning a shot is harder than with a stepless or espresso-focused grinder.
How much coffee does the hopper hold?
The hopper holds 8.8 oz of beans, roughly enough for a full pot of drip coffee or several French press batches.
How does it compare with a blade grinder?
Burr grinders produce a more even particle size than blade grinders, which chop unevenly. For drip and French press, the Aiheal is a clear step up for a similar price.
When is the best time to buy it?
Only 2 stores list it new, so discounts are rare. Watch for holiday sales at Walmart; the current $43.99 is already low for a burr grinder.
