What size room does the Alen BreatheSmart 45i handle?

Alen rates it for rooms up to about 800 square feet, which suits a large living room or an open-plan space. Smaller bedrooms will cycle the air faster.

How often do I need to replace the filter?

Alen recommends replacing the HEPA cartridge roughly every 9 to 12 months, depending on use and air quality. The unit's indicator light tells you when it is due.

Is it quiet enough for a bedroom?

Yes. On low and medium speeds owners describe it as quiet enough to sleep next to. Turbo mode is noticeably louder.

Does it connect to an app or smart home system?

No. The 45i has manual controls and a color-coded air quality ring, with no Wi-Fi or app support.

Is $488 a good price?

It is the only new price listed, $488 at ALEN as of November 7, 2026, so there is no competing store price to beat. Watch for Alen's seasonal sales, which are the usual way this model drops.
