Is the Amazon Basics bath mat worth it?

At $15.22 it is a low-cost way to add grip to a tub. Expect a basic mat, not a premium one; replace it if the suction cups stop holding.

It measures 40 x 16 inches, so it suits standard and longer tubs. Measure your tub floor first; a mat that is too long will curl up at the ends.

How do I keep it from getting moldy?

Rinse it after each use and hang it over the tub edge or a hook to dry. Lift it periodically to clean the tub floor underneath.

Does it work on a textured or refinished tub?

Suction cups grip best on smooth surfaces. On textured, refinished or slip-resistant tub floors the cups may not seal, so the mat can shift.

Yes, the mat is listed as BPA-free. It is made of PVC, so let it air out for a day or two if it smells of plastic when new.

Only one new price, $15.22 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, is listed, so there is no recent low to compare. Check back for other sellers before buying.
