Our take on the American Mahjong Game Set, Portable Carrying Bag,Acrylic 160 Tiles,Western Mahjong Tiles Set,Complete Ma Jong Set

A complete American mahjong set with 160 blue acrylic tiles, a tile ruler, dice, chip cards, a carrying bag and instructions. American mahjong uses 152 tiles plus jokers, so 160 gives a little spare room for the 2024 card's extra jokers. At $119.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end for a full acrylic set with a bag; only two stores list it new, so there is little price competition.

Best forPlayers who want a full American mahjong set out of the boxGroups of four who play at home or on tripsBuyers who prefer acrylic tiles over plastic or wood
Pros
  • 160 tiles covers the standard 152-tile American set with spares
  • Acrylic tiles have a crisper feel and sound than cheap plastic
  • Includes ruler, dice, chip cards, bag and instructions
  • Carrying bag makes it portable for game nights and travel
  • Blue tiles stand out and are easy to sort
Cons
  • Only 2 ratings, so the 5-star score is thin evidence
  • No mahjong card included, which American play needs
  • Acrylic can chip if tiles are dropped on hard floors
  • Two stores only, so price comparison is limited

Questions and answers

Is this a full American mahjong set?
Yes. It has 160 tiles, enough for the 152-tile American game plus jokers, along with a ruler, dice, chip cards and instructions. You still need the current mahjong card, which is not included.
Are the tiles real acrylic or plastic?
The listing says acrylic, which is denser and clicks more sharply than basic plastic. Acrylic still chips if dropped, so store the tiles in the bag between games.
Is $119.99 a good price?
It is a fair price for a complete acrylic set with a bag, and only two stores list it new as of November 4, 2026. Without a long price history, compare against other 160-tile acrylic sets before buying.
Can I travel with it?
Yes. The set comes with a carrying bag and is built for four players, so it packs for trips. Tiles are heavy, so expect a few pounds in the bag.
What comes in the box?
160 acrylic tiles, a mahjong ruler, dice, chip cards, a handbag and instructions. No mahjong card or racks are listed.
