Questions and answers

Is the Ameta S50 Lite worth it for a first drone?
At $179.99 at Best Buy as of November 3, 2026, it is a reasonable starter kit: GPS hover, Return-to-Home and two batteries cover the basics. Expect beginner-level image quality, not pro footage.
How long can it actually fly?
The 50 minutes is the combined time of the two included batteries, so plan on roughly 25 minutes per battery. Wind and cold shorten that.
Does it need a phone to fly?
Most drones in this class pair with a phone app for live view and camera control. Check the box contents for a controller before buying.
Is $179.99 a good price?
There is no price history yet; $179.99 at Best Buy as of November 3, 2026 is the only new price recorded. Without a range, there is no evidence of a discount.
What is in the box?
The listing names two batteries and the drone with its 4K camera. Confirm whether a controller, charger and carrying case are included.
