Questions and answers

How much ice does it make per day?
Antarctic Star rates it at up to 26 lb of bullet ice per day. Real output depends on room temperature and how often you empty the basket.
Does it need a water line?
No. You fill the reservoir by hand, so it only needs a power outlet and counter space.
What kind of ice does it make?
It makes bullet-shaped ice, which is softer and easier to chew than standard freezer cubes but melts faster.
Is $37.79 a good price?
It is the lowest of the two new listings tracked, at Antarctic Star as of November 6, 2026. Countertop ice makers in this size class often sell for more, so it is a low entry price.
How often should I clean it?
Plan to drain, descale and dry it every few weeks with regular use, and more often if you leave water sitting in the reservoir.
Can I put it outside or in an RV?
It is portable and needs only a standard outlet, but it works best in a shaded, level spot; extreme heat slows ice production.
Where is the Antarctic Star Countertop Ice Maker Machine cheapest?
