Our take on the Anyhave Queen Upholstered Wingback Headboard Platform Bed Frame

The Anyhave Queen Upholstered Wingback Platform Bed is a metal-frame platform bed with a tall, upholstered wingback headboard and no box spring required. The wings and padded headboard give it a hotel-style look that plain metal platforms lack, and the platform deck sits low for easy access. It measures about 76 inches wide and 85 inches long, so it needs a room that can take a queen footprint plus a few inches of clearance.

Best forShoppers who want a padded headboard for reading in bedBedrooms where a box spring is not available or wantedRenters and guest rooms needing a sturdy, simple frameBuyers who prefer an upholstered look over bare metal
Pros
  • Upholstered wingback headboard adds back support and a finished look
  • Platform design means no box spring purchase
  • Metal frame is generally sturdier than all-wood slat beds at this tier
  • Low profile makes getting in and out easy
  • Queen size fits standard mattresses and bedding
Cons
  • Wingback headboard adds bulk and limits nightstand space
  • Upholstery needs spot cleaning and can show wear
  • Assembly is multi-step and easier with two people
  • Metal frame can creak if bolts loosen over time
  • No under-bed storage specified beyond the platform height

Questions and answers

Do I need a box spring with this bed?
No. It is a platform frame, so a queen mattress sits directly on the support deck. That saves the cost and height of a box spring.
What mattress thickness works best?
A standard queen mattress of about 8 to 12 inches pairs well with the headboard height. Very thick mattresses can hide more of the upholstered panel.
How much floor space does it need?
The frame is about 76 inches wide and 85 inches long. Leave a few extra inches on each side for bedding and for reaching the headboard.
Is the headboard comfortable to lean against?
The upholstered wingback panel is padded, so it works for sitting up to read. The wings block some side light and add a cozy feel.
How hard is assembly?
Expect a typical flat-pack build with bolts and slats, roughly an hour or more. Two people make aligning the headboard and frame much easier.
When is the best time to buy?
Furniture prices often dip around major holiday sales and at model clearances. Check the price history before buying to see if the current price is near its low.
