Is the 11-inch iPad (A16) worth it over the iPad Air?

If you mainly stream, browse and take notes, the iPad covers it for less. The Air buys you a newer M-series chip and a 120 Hz display, which matter for heavy editing or drawing.

Does this iPad work with Apple Pencil?

Yes, it supports Apple Pencil, though the Pencil is sold separately. Check which Pencil generation matches this model before buying.

Is the cellular version worth the extra cost?

Only if you often work away from Wi-Fi. The 5G model uses eSIM, so you can add a data plan without a physical SIM, but the plan is a recurring cost.

How much storage does it have, and can I expand it?

It comes with 128 GB, and there is no microSD slot. Plan on cloud storage or a USB-C drive if you keep a lot of video.

How long does the battery last?

Apple rates it at up to 10 hours of web browsing or video. Owners report roughly a full day of mixed use.

The lowest new price seen is $292 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026. iPad prices typically dip during back-to-school and holiday sales.
