Is the iPad A16 worth it over the older 10.9-inch iPad?

Yes for most buyers. The A16 model gives you a slightly larger 11-inch screen and 128 GB of base storage, which the older entry iPad did not offer at that price.

How does it compare with the iPad Air?

The Air has a faster chip, 8 GB of RAM and a laminated 120 Hz screen. The A16 iPad is enough for streaming, browsing and schoolwork but will feel slower in heavy apps.

How much storage should I get?

128 GB suits streaming, browsing and cloud photos. Choose 256 GB or 512 GB if you download movies, keep large game libraries or store lots of local files.

Does it work with the Apple Pencil?

It supports the USB-C Apple Pencil and the first-generation Apple Pencil with a USB-C adapter. The Apple Pencil Pro is not supported on this model.

The box has the iPad and a USB-C charging cable. Apple does not include a power adapter, so you need your own USB-C charger.

When is the price lowest?

Entry iPads usually dip during Black Friday, back-to-school and spring sales. The current best new price is $370 at eBay as of November 6, 2026.
