Is the MacBook Air 15 M2 still worth buying in 2026?

Yes, if you want a large-screen Mac for everyday work at a low price. At $685 at Walmart as of November 6, 2026, it costs far less than newer Air models, though those have newer chips.

How does it compare with the 13-inch MacBook Air M2?

Same M2 chip, same battery rating and same ports; the 15-inch adds a larger screen and slightly more weight. Choose the 15 if screen size matters more than portability.

Is 256GB of storage enough?

For documents, streaming and cloud storage, yes. If you keep large photo or video libraries locally, plan on external storage, since the SSD cannot be upgraded.

How long does the battery last?

Apple rates it at up to 18 hours, and owners commonly report a full workday of mixed use. Heavy video editing shortens that considerably.

The laptop, a USB-C to MagSafe 3 charging cable and a 35W dual USB-C power adapter. No mouse or sleeve is included.

Prices on the M2 Air have fallen as newer models arrived; the current best new price is $685 at Walmart as of November 6, 2026. Watch for clearance discounts around back-to-school and holiday sales.
