Is the T130 big enough for my pool?

At 47,500 BTU it fits small to mid-size pools, roughly up to 15,000–20,000 gallons in a warm climate. Larger pools will heat slowly and may need a bigger model.

What electrical circuit does it need?

It runs on 230V with a minimum circuit ampacity of 27.3A and a maximum fuse size of 40A. Plan on a dedicated circuit installed by a licensed electrician.

Can it cool the pool as well as heat it?

Yes. It is a reversible heat pump, so it can chill water in hot weather as well as warm it.

AquaCal rates it at 33 dB in Eco mode, which is quieter than most heat pumps this size. In boost mode it will be louder.

Does it work with saltwater pools?

Yes. The titanium heat exchanger is built to handle saltwater and typical pool chemicals.

When is the price lowest?

Heat pump prices tend to dip in fall and winter, outside swim season. The current best new price is $5,519 at Sauna Heater Supply as of November 7, 2026.
