Is 75,000 BTU enough for my pool?

It is rated for pools up to 21,000 gallons. Larger pools, or ones that are uncovered and windy, will heat slowly and lose heat fast at this size.

Can it cool the pool too?

Yes. It has heating and cooling modes, so it can pull water temperature down in hot spells as well as raise it.

What plumbing does it need?

It comes with 1.25-inch and 1.5-inch hose adapters and a 1.5-inch PVC pipe converter, so it fits common above-ground pool plumbing. You still need a pump and a power supply sized for the unit.

Is the 12 COP figure realistic?

No. Real pool heat pumps typically run around 4 to 6 COP in mild air. A 12 COP claim reflects ideal lab conditions at best, so expect lower real-world efficiency.

How is it controlled?

Through a WiFi app on your phone. There is no mention of a wall thermostat, so plan on the app for scheduling and temperature changes.

Pool heat pumps usually drop in late summer and early fall, after the swim season. The current best new price is $841.59 at eBay as of November 7, 2026.
