Will this fit my 12-inch pole saw?

Only if your bar takes 45 drive links at 3/8-inch low-profile pitch and .043 gauge. Check the numbers stamped on your old bar or chain before ordering. A 12-inch bar with a different drive-link count will not fit.

Is semi-chisel better than full chisel?

Semi-chisel cuts slower in clean wood but holds up better in dirty, sandy or frozen timber. For yard pruning and pole saw work, that trade-off usually favors semi-chisel.

Is $8.99 a good price?

It is a low price for a 12-inch replacement chain, and eBay is the only store listing it new as of November 4, 2026. There is no recent price history to compare, so judge it against other 45-link .043 chains.

One 12-inch, 45-drive-link saw chain. No bar, no file and no installation tools are included.

With one seller listing it, price moves little. Watch for eBay coupons and seller promotions rather than seasonal sales.
