Will this chain fit my DeWalt chainsaw?

It fits the 12-inch bar on the DCCS620, DCCS621B and DCCS620P1 20V MAX saws. Check your bar length and drive-link count (45) before buying.

Is this chain low kickback?

Yes. It has ramped depth gauges and meets ANSI low-kickback standards, which reduces the chance of kickback on the 12-inch bar.

How often should I replace it?

Replace it when the cutters can no longer be sharpened or the chain stretches past the bar's adjustment. For occasional yard work, a chain typically lasts a season or more with regular sharpening.

Is $18.97 a good price?

It is at the low end of its recent range, with four stores listing it new as of November 4, 2026. Stocking a spare at that price is reasonable.

Our take on the DeWalt DWO1DT612 12-Inch Replacement Chainsaw Chain

This is the 12-inch replacement chain for DeWalt's 20V MAX cordless chainsaw (DCCS620 and related models). It uses a 3/8-inch low-profile pitch, .043 gauge and 45 drive links, with semi-chisel cutters and ramped depth gauges for low kickback. At $18.97 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range, so this is a fair time to buy a spare.
