Questions and answers

Is the Typhon 223S BLX worth it?
Yes for a 1/8 4WD basher at $339.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026. It is ready to run and 3S-ready, so you only add a battery and charger.
What do I need to run it?
A 3S LiPo pack and a LiPo-compatible charger, since neither is included. A 2S pack also works if you want slower speeds.
How fast is it?
ARRMA rates it at 50+ mph on 3S power. On 2S it is noticeably slower and easier to control.
Is it waterproof?
The Spektrum SLT 80A 2-in-1 ESC and receiver are waterproof. That covers splashes and wet grass, not full submersion.
How does it compare to the 6S Typhon?
This 223S BLX runs 2S or 3S and is lighter and cheaper. The 6S Typhon is a larger, faster platform that costs much more.
When is it cheapest?
Watch for holiday sales and bundle listings that include a battery. The best new price seen is $339.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026.
