Is the Belachime chest worth it?

For a budget bedroom chest, yes. You get five smooth-gliding drawers and a convincing dark oak look at an entry-level price. Expect laminate, not solid wood.

It is 30.24 in wide, 46.34 in tall and 15.59 in deep, and weighs 129 lbs. The tall, narrow shape suits small rooms.

Does it come assembled?

No. Assembly is required, and at 129 lbs it is easier with two people. Budget an hour or two.

No. It is engineered wood with a decorative laminate in a replicated oak grain. The finish is durable and wipe-clean but not solid oak.

Does it match other Ashley Belachime pieces?

Yes. The chest shares the dark charcoal finish and pewter handles with the rest of the Belachime bedroom collection, so it pairs with the matching bed and nightstand.

Bedroom furniture discounts most around major holiday sales and during store clearance events. Check the price history before buying.

Our take on the Ashley Belachime Chest

The Ashley Belachime chest is a five-drawer bedroom chest in a dark charcoal finish over replicated oak grain, with antiqued pewter-tone handles and a casual, vintage look. It measures 30.24 in wide, 46.34 in tall and 15.59 in deep, and it ships as a single dresser that needs assembly. The engineered wood and laminate build keeps it affordable, and the smooth-gliding drawers suit clothing storage. It is a mid-priced piece aimed at shoppers furnishing a bedroom on a budget rather than buying solid oak heirlooms.
