- Is the Ashley Gubbins swivel chair worth $489.99?
- At $489.99 at Fischer Furniture as of November 4, 2026, it is the lowest of the four new prices we track. That is reasonable for a full-size upholstered swivel accent chair, though cheaper swivel chairs exist with thinner cushions.
- How much floor space does it need?
- It measures 39 inches wide, 39 inches deep and 39 inches high. Leave extra room around it so the swivel can turn without hitting a wall or table.
- Does the whole chair swivel or just the seat?
- The chair swivels as a unit on its base, so the seat and back turn together. That makes it easy to face a TV, a fireplace or another seating group.
- What color is it, and does it come in others?
- This version is blue. Ashley has offered the Gubbins in other upholstery options at times, so check the specific listing if you want a different color.
- Is it comfortable for long sitting?
- It is an accent chair with a padded seat and a curved back, suited to reading or conversation rather than all-day lounging. Taller sitters should note the 39-inch height and check seat depth in person if they can.
- When is the best time to buy it?
- Furniture promotions cluster around holiday weekends and end-of-season sales. Track the price history here and compare the four stores before buying.
