ASUS ROG XG Mobile External Graphics Card

Our take on the ASUS ROG XG Mobile External Graphics Card

The ASUS ROG XG Mobile is an external graphics dock that connects to compatible ROG laptops and handhelds over a proprietary PCIe link, adding a desktop-class GPU with 24 GB of GDDR memory. It drives external monitors through HDMI and DisplayPort and is small enough to carry, at about 6 inches long. The catch is price: the only new listing found is $4,800 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, with no other new sellers to compare against. That is a steep premium for a dock that only works with a narrow set of ASUS devices.

Which devices does it work with?

It connects only to ASUS devices that have the XG Mobile port, such as certain ROG Flow laptops and the ROG Ally. It will not work with standard Thunderbolt or USB4 laptops.

Can I use it with a non-ASUS laptop?

No. The connector is proprietary to ASUS, so other laptops cannot use it even with an adapter.

What is in the box?

Expect the XG Mobile unit and its power supply and cable. Check the listing for the exact bundle, since accessories vary by seller.
