How long does the battery last?

The 6600mAh battery is rated up to 6 months on standby with solar topping it up, but continuous live view runs about 9 hours. Sun exposure on the panel decides how often you need to recharge.

Does it need wiring to the car?

No. The camera mounts magnetically and talks to your phone over a wireless link, so there is no cable run to the reverse light. You still need to keep the battery charged via sun or USB.

Can I use it on a trailer or RV?

Yes. The 230ft signal range and magnetic mount suit trailers and RVs, and the system supports two cameras. Keep the camera within about 50ft of the vehicle for a stable link.

Does it record video?

Yes. One-tap recording in the AUT VIEW app saves clips to your phone. It is not a always-on dash cam, so recording starts when you tap.

At $119.99 at Amazon as of November 7, 2026, it is a reasonable price for a solar wireless camera with 1080P and night vision. Compare against wired kits if you want a permanent dash display.
