Are these shades blackout?

No. Woven wood shades are semi-sheer to light-filtering, depending on the weave. For a dark bedroom, add a room-darkening liner or pair them with curtains.

What does inside mount mean for measuring?

The shade sits inside the window recess. Measure the width at the top, middle and bottom of the opening and use the narrowest figure, since Bali builds to your submitted size.

How do the wand controls work?

A wand tilts and raises the shade instead of a pull cord. It keeps hanging cords off the window, which is the main reason buyers choose it for rooms with children or pets.

Can I use these in a kitchen or bathroom?

Bali lists kitchens among the intended rooms, but woven natural fibers can be affected by steam and grease over time. In a steamy bathroom, a moisture-resistant material is the safer choice.

How do I clean woven wood shades?

Dust regularly with a soft brush or vacuum brush attachment. Avoid soaking the weave; spot-clean gently and let the shade dry fully extended.

Why do custom shades cost more than store-bought ones?

Each shade is cut to your window's measurements in the chosen weave and control type. That per-window build is what separates the price from stock sizes.

Our take on the Bali Custom White Woven Wood Shades 24" x 36"

Bali Custom Woven Wood Shades are made-to-order window coverings woven from natural materials such as bamboo, rattan and jute, cut to your exact window size. This 24" x 36" inside-mount shade uses a wand control instead of a cord, which suits bedrooms, living rooms and kitchens. Custom shades are priced per window, so a single small shade costs far more than a stock roller shade of the same size.
