Our take on the Balsam Hill BH Balsam Fir Tree

The BH Balsam Fir is Balsam Hill's classic artificial Christmas tree, here in a 7.5 ft pre-lit version with 1,200 clear warm-white lights and a Twinkly light show. It uses PE (polyethylene) branch tips molded to look like real fir, a teardrop silhouette, and Balsam Hill's Easy Plug wiring that connects sections with a single cord. The best new price is $299.99 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, well below the $599.00 to $599.20 daily range seen since October 31, 2026. That gap is large enough to check the seller and whether the tree is full-height and fully pre-lit before buying.

Best forShoppers who want a realistic-looking PE tree without watering or needlesFamilies who want pre-lit setup with one-plug wiringBuyers with a 7.5 ft ceiling space who want a classic full fir shapePeople who want app-controlled light shows without adding separate string lights

Pros

PE branch tips look more like real fir than PVC-only trees
1,200 pre-installed warm-white lights save stringing
Easy Plug connects sections with a single cord
Twinkly light show adds app-controlled patterns and colors
Folds and stores in sections for reuse year after year

Cons

Heavy and bulky to move and store at 7.5 ft
PE tips are stiffer and less forgiving to shape than PVC
Twinkly features depend on the app and a stable connection
Replacement bulbs and fuses are proprietary
Full price around $599 is steep for an artificial tree
