Our take on the Barska AC11422 IR Contour Rifle Scope 3-9X

The Barska AC11422 is a 3-9x variable-power rifle scope with an illuminated Contour reticle, built for general hunting and target use on rimfire and centerfire rifles. It uses a 1-inch maintube and a compact objective, so it mounts low and stays light. At $134.99 at Tractor Supply Co as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the entry end of the illuminated-scope market.

Questions and answers

Is the Barska AC11422 good for a .22 rifle?
Yes. Its 3-9x range and light build suit rimfire hunting and plinking, and most owners report it holds zero on .22s.
Does it have an illuminated reticle?
Yes. The Contour reticle is illuminated with adjustable brightness for low-light shooting.
What ring size does it need?
It uses a 1-inch maintube, so standard 1-inch scope rings fit.
Is it strong enough for a .308 or larger cartridge?
It is not the best choice for heavy recoil. Barska rates this line for lighter-recoiling rifles, and owners report drift on magnum calibers.

Where is the Barska AC11422 IR Contour Rifle Scope 3-9X cheapest?
At Tractor Supply Co, for $134.99, as of our latest check.
