Is the Bearaby Cotton Weighted 25 good for hot sleepers?

Yes. The weight comes from cotton yarn rather than beads and a polyester shell, so air moves through the knit and heat builds up less. It is one of the cooler options at this weight.

How heavy should a weighted blanket be?

The usual rule is about 10 percent of body weight, so 25 lb suits roughly 200–250 lb adults. Lighter sleepers may find it confining and should size down.

Can I machine wash it?

Yes, Bearaby says the cotton knit is machine washable, but a 25 lb blanket needs a large-capacity machine and air drying takes a long time. Spot cleaning is easier for small messes.

Does it come with a cover?

No. The knit is the blanket, so there is no removable cover and nothing extra to buy. That also means stains land directly on the cotton.

Is $329 a good price?

It is the best new price found as of November 7, 2026, at Nordstrom, and only two stores list it new. Bearaby knits rarely discount deeply, so waiting for a big drop is unlikely to pay off.

How does it compare with a bead-filled weighted blanket?

It breathes better and has no beads to shift or leak, but it costs more and is harder to wash. Bead blankets are cheaper and often come with a washable cover.

Our take on the Bearaby Cotton Weighted 25

The Bearaby Cotton Weighted 25 is a 25 lb chunky-knit blanket made of cotton, sized 72 inches long. Unlike most weighted blankets, it has no inner beads or removable cover: the weight comes from the thick cotton yarn itself, so it breathes better and needs no duvet cover. At $329 at Nordstrom as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the top of its recent price range, and only two stores list it new.
