Will it work in my GX 460?

It fits 2014-2019 Lexus GX 460 and Toyota Land Cruiser models, but you must pick the right vehicle and radio variant (Pioneer, Panasonic or Fujitsu-Ten) when ordering. Check your head unit before buying.

Does it keep the factory microphone and steering wheel buttons?

Yes. The kit preserves the factory microphone and retains steering wheel controls, and you switch modes with a long press of the Call End button.

Is installation really plug-and-play?

Yes, it uses a plug-and-play harness with no cutting or splicing. The optional USB harness is a separate add-on if you want to use the factory OEM USB port.

Is the screen quality better than the factory screen?

No. Output is limited to the factory screen's native resolution, so CarPlay looks like the stock display, not sharper.

Does it support Android phones?

Yes. It supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wirelessly or over USB, and the phone charges while connected by USB.

Our take on the Beat-Sonic Apple CarPlay for Lexus GX 460 & Land Cruiser

The Beat-Sonic CarPlay kit adds wireless and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to 2014-2019 Lexus GX 460 and Toyota Land Cruiser models that came without it. It runs through the factory touchscreen, keeps the steering wheel controls and factory microphone, and installs plug-and-play with no cutting or splicing. You switch between the factory system and CarPlay with a long press of the Call End button. It is a niche retrofit, so pricing varies by seller and vehicle selection.
