Is the Bestway SaluSpa Hollywood worth it?

At $749.99 at Walmart as of November 8, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get a 6-person hot tub without a permanent install. Expect bubble massage rather than targeted jets, and slower heating than a hardwired spa.

Does it need a special electrical outlet?

No. It runs on a standard 120V household outlet, which is why heating is slower than a 240V spa.

How long does it take to heat up?

Bestway rates heat-up at roughly 1 to 2°F per hour depending on outside temperature. From cold tap water to 104°F can take a day or more.

Can I leave it out in winter?

Freeze Shield runs the pump to keep components from freezing, but the tub still loses heat fast in freezing weather. Many owners drain and store it for the coldest months.

What comes in the box?

The tub, the pump and heater unit, the EnergySense cover, the ChemConnect dispenser and a setup and repair patch kit. Filters are included but are consumables you replace.

How often do I change the water and filters?

Bestway suggests changing the water every few weeks to a month with regular chemical care. Rinse the cartridge filters weekly and replace them when they stop cleaning well.
