Our take on the Bolton Tools DZ500/2C Two-Chamber Vacuum Packaging Machine

The Bolton Tools DZ500/2C is a two-chamber commercial vacuum packaging machine built from 304 stainless steel. Two 500 mm chambers with two 10 mm double-seal bars let one operator load one chamber while the other pulls vacuum, which roughly doubles throughput versus a single-chamber unit. It runs on 220V and draws up to 26 amps, so it needs a dedicated circuit. The best new price is $1,889.09 at Bolton Tools as of November 4, 2026, with three stores selling it new.

Pros
  • Two chambers keep the machine working while one side is loaded
  • Double seal bars give two seals per cycle for stronger, leak-resistant bags
  • 304 stainless steel body suits wet, food-grade commercial kitchens
  • 500 mm chamber length fits wide bags and large cuts
  • Digital controls with adjustable vacuum and seal timing
  • 2 hp pump is sized for repeated commercial cycles
Cons
  • 220V, 26-amp draw needs a dedicated circuit most home kitchens lack
  • Heavy and large; it needs a permanent counter or cart
  • No gas-flush option listed for modified-atmosphere packing
  • Lid and chamber gaskets are wear items on any chamber machine

Questions and answers

Is the DZ500/2C worth it over a single-chamber sealer?
For steady commercial volume, yes. The second chamber lets you load one side while the other seals, so you get roughly twice the cycles per hour. For occasional home use, a single-chamber unit costs far less.
What power does it need?
It runs on 220V and draws up to 26 amps total, so plan on a dedicated 30-amp circuit. A standard US 120V outlet will not run it.
What bag size fits?
The chambers take bags up to 19-3/4 inches (500 mm) wide, and the two 10 mm double-seal bars seal across that width. Larger bags can be cut down or sealed on one side.
Can it vacuum liquids or wet foods?
Chamber machines handle wet foods better than suction-only sealers because the vacuum is drawn around the whole bag. Keep the seal bar area clean and let liquids cool before sealing to protect the seal.
What is in the box?
The machine itself is the main item; check the listing for included filler plates, bag samples or spare parts, since bundles vary by seller.
When is the price lowest?
Commercial equipment like this tends to dip during off-season kitchen-equipment sales and year-end promotions. The current best is $1,889.09 at Bolton Tools as of November 4, 2026, and three stores list it new, so compare before buying.
Where is the Bolton Tools DZ500/2C Two-Chamber Vacuum Packaging Machine cheapest?
