How often do the filters need changing?

Brondell rates the composite plus and carbon block filters at about 6 months each. The 5,000-gallon figure applies to chlorine reduction, so heavy use may mean earlier changes.

Does it remove fluoride?

No. The Cypress is certified for chlorine, microplastics, VOCs and similar contaminants, not fluoride. For fluoride removal you need a reverse osmosis system.

Will it fit my faucet?

It comes with a universal faucet adapter and Brondell says it fits most faucets. Faucets with non-standard threads or pull-down spray heads may need an extra adapter.

How fast does it dispense water?

The rated service flow is 0.5 gpm, so a quart takes about 30 seconds. It is fine for glasses and kettles but slow for filling large containers.

Is it cheaper than bottled water?

At $154.99 at Amazon as of November 6, 2026, plus filter changes twice a year, it usually costs less over time than regular bottled water for a household.

Can I plumb it under the counter instead?

Yes, but the undercounter water connection is sold separately. Out of the box it connects to the faucet with the included adapter.
