A 14-piece stainless steel knife set from Brookstone that includes a wooden storage block. The set covers the everyday basics: a chef's knife, bread knife, utility and paring knives, steak knives, kitchen shears and a sharpener, all in matching stainless handles. It is a budget-friendly starter set rather than a forged, high-end one. Pricing varies widely by retailer, so compare stores before buying.
Lowest price we've seen: $17.97 on Oct 31 at Camping World. Tracked across 1 store since Oct 31.
Owner feedback on budget Brookstone knife sets is mixed. People like the complete lineup and the price, but many say the blades dull faster than name-brand knives and the handles feel light.
