Our take on the Callaway Apex Pro Iron

The Callaway Apex Pro is a players' iron set with a compact head, forged feel and a mid-launch, mid-spin flight aimed at better ball strikers who want control. The set runs 4-PW plus an AW, with stiff 115g steel shafts and standard length and grips. It is not a distance-first game-improvement iron, though Callaway claims more forgiveness and distance than earlier Apex Pro models. The best new price is $443.99 at StickHawk as of November 5, 2026, with two stores listing it new.

Questions and answers

Is the Apex Pro worth it over the standard Apex?
The Pro is smaller and less forgiving but offers more workability and a softer feel. Choose it if you strike the ball consistently; otherwise the standard Apex gives more help.
Is the Apex Pro forgiving enough for a mid-handicap?
It is more forgiving than earlier Apex Pro models, but it is still a players' iron. Mid-handicappers with decent ball striking can play it; higher handicaps will lose distance on mishits.
What shafts and flex come with this set?
This set has stiff steel shafts at 115g, standard length, with standard rubber grips.
What is included in the set?
The set includes 4-iron through pitching wedge plus an AW, with the AW at 50 degrees of loft.
When is the Apex Pro cheapest?
The best new price is $443.99 at StickHawk as of November 5, 2026. Prices on prior-generation Apex Pro sets tend to fall after a new model launches.
