Our take on the Callaway Elyte Max Fast Hybrid

The Elyte Max Fast is Callaway's lightweight, high-forgiveness hybrid aimed at slower swing speeds, with a senior flex shaft and a draw-friendly, high-launch setup. It has an adjustable hosel with seven loft and lie settings and movable heel-toe weights, so you can tune trajectory and shot shape. At $149.98 at DICK'S Sporting Goods as of November 5, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range, with only four stores listing it new.

Best forGolfers with slower swing speedsPlayers who fight a slice and want a draw biasSeniors and players moving from irons to hybridsAnyone wanting an adjustable, forgiving long-iron replacement
Pros
  • Light 295 g build with a 9 g tungsten weight helps generate clubhead speed
  • High MOI and high launch make off-center hits less punishing
  • Adjustable OptiFit 4 hosel gives seven loft and lie combinations
  • Movable heel-toe weights let you shift bias toward a draw
  • Headcover and grip included
  • Senior flex suits moderate swing speeds
Cons
  • Senior flex shaft won't fit stronger, faster swings
  • Draw bias can turn into a hook for players who already draw the ball
  • Adjustability adds setup decisions that beginners may not want
  • Mid-sized head is less workable than a compact players hybrid

Questions and answers

Is the Elyte Max Fast hybrid worth it at $149.98?
At $149.98 at DICK'S Sporting Goods as of November 5, 2026, it is at the low end of its recent range, which makes it a reasonable buy if you want a light, forgiving, draw-biased hybrid. Only four stores list it new, so stock may be limited.
Who should buy the Max Fast version instead of the standard Elyte hybrid?
The Max Fast is built for slower swing speeds, with a senior flex shaft, lighter overall weight and a draw bias. If you swing faster or want a neutral, more workable flight, the standard Elyte is the better fit.
Can I adjust the loft and lie?
Yes. The OptiFit 4 hosel offers seven loft and lie combinations, and the heel-toe weights can be moved to shift the bias. That lets you raise or lower flight and lean toward a draw or a more neutral setup.
What lofts and lengths are available?
The line runs from a 5H at 39.75 inches down to an 8H at 37.50 inches, with the 8H at 39 degrees of loft. Each loft has its own standard length, so check the specific head you order.
What comes in the box?
You get the hybrid head with the graphite senior flex shaft, a grip and a headcover. The adjustment tool is typically needed for hosel and weight changes, so confirm it is included with your order.
When is it cheapest?
Prices on prior-generation Callaway hybrids tend to drop when a new line launches and again during end-of-season sales. The current $149.98 at DICK'S Sporting Goods as of November 5, 2026 is already near the bottom of its recent range.
Where is the Callaway Elyte Max Fast Hybrid cheapest?
At DICK'S Sporting Goods, for $149.98, 25% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Callaway Elyte Max Fast Hybrid?
Rated 4.3 out of 5 from 109 ratings.
Where can I buy the Callaway Elyte Max Fast Hybrid?
15 stores we checked sell it, including DICK'S Sporting Goods, eBay, PGA TOUR Superstore, Walmart, Callaway Golf.
