Is the Chrome Soft worth $34.95?

Yes. That is a low price for a urethane tour ball, and it is the best new price among the two stores listing it as of November 5, 2026. Stock at that price may not last.

How does it compare with the Chrome Soft X?

The Chrome Soft is softer and spins more around the greens. The Chrome Soft X is firmer and built for higher swing speeds and lower spin off the driver.

Who should play this ball?

Mid- to low-handicap players who want soft feel and short-game control. High swing speed players may prefer a firmer ball for distance.

What does Truvis mean?

Truvis is Callaway's printed cover pattern, designed to make the ball easier to see in flight and on the ground. It does not change how the ball performs.

Premium urethane balls usually drop during end-of-season and holiday sales. At $34.95 as of November 5, 2026, it is already near the low end of its range.

Our take on the Callaway Chrome Soft Golf Balls

The Callaway Chrome Soft is a three-piece urethane tour ball built around Callaway's Hyper Elastic SoftFast core, designed to give soft feel with tour-level spin and a high, controlled trajectory. The Truvis pattern is a high-visibility cover print that makes the ball easier to track in flight and around the green. At $34.95 at Dr. Mulligan's Golf as of November 5, 2026, it sits at the low end of what this ball typically sells for, so the current price is a good one.
