Is the mattress included?

No. This is a frame-only daybed, so you need a standard twin mattress. Slats are included, so a box spring is not required.

What mattress thickness works best?

A twin mattress around 8 to 10 inches thick sits well inside the frame and backrest. A very thick mattress can sit above the back panel.

The frame is rated for 250 lb. That covers most teens and average adults, but heavier sleepers should look at a sturdier frame.

No. The included slats support the mattress directly.

Most buyers manage it, but plan on two people and about an hour. The tufted back and nailhead panels are the fiddly parts.

It works for guest and occasional use. For nightly sleeping by an adult, check the 250 lb limit and mattress fit first.
