Does it come with a mattress?

No. The frame, slats and hardware are included, but you need a twin mattress, about 39.5 by 75.8 inches inside the frame.

Can it be used as a sofa in the middle of a room?

Only against a wall. The back is not finished or upholstered, so the rear would show.

How much weight does it hold?

300 lb total. That covers the mattress and anyone sitting or sleeping on it.

Is a box spring needed?

No. Slats are included and support a twin mattress directly.

Can I add a trundle later?

No trundle is included, and the frame has no built-in provision for one. A pop-up trundle would have to fit under the 7-inch clearance.

How hard is assembly?

It arrives flat and requires assembly. Two people help, given the 81 lb weight and the tufted head and back panels.

Our take on the Twin size Modern Grey Fabric Upholstered Button-Tufted Daybed

The HomePacific Twin Tufted Daybed is an upholstered grey polyester frame with button tufting and a solid and MDF wood build. It holds a twin mattress (not included) on included slats and supports up to 300 lb. The finished back is not upholstered, so it is meant to sit against a wall. It ships unassembled at 81 lb with 7 inches of clearance underneath.
