The JanSport Cool Student is a 34-liter school backpack with a padded laptop sleeve, an internal organizer, and a synthetic leather base and trim. It weighs about 1.3 lb and measures 17 by 12 by 8 inches, so it fits a full day of books plus a laptop. It is abrasion resistant but not water resistant, so rain will soak through. It carries a 4.6 out of 5 rating from 2,400 ratings, and no current price was provided with this listing.

Owners rate it highly for durability and space, and many report using one for years through school and travel. Complaints center on water getting in during rain and on the lack of separate compartments.
