Our take on the Corrigan Studio Latwon L-Shaped Steel Writing Desk

The Corrigan Studio Latwon is an L-shaped corner writing desk in white, with a wood-finish top and three built-in drawers. The corner layout puts the work surface along two walls, so it fits a small home office without a separate return. It is a steel-frame desk, so expect a light, open look rather than a heavy executive piece. It has 1,100 ratings averaging 4.5 out of 5, which is strong for furniture in this class.

Questions and answers

Is the Latwon desk sturdy enough for a desktop monitor and laptop?: Yes. The steel frame handles a monitor, laptop and lamp without trouble. Tighten every bolt during assembly, since a loose frame is the usual cause of wobble.
What are the drawer dimensions?: The listing gives three drawers but no sizes. They are shallow writing-desk drawers, fine for pens, cables and notebooks, not for hanging files.
Does it fit a small room?: It is built for corners, so it uses wall space along two sides. Measure both wall runs before buying, since an L-desk needs more clearance than a straight one.
Is the desktop solid wood?: The listing says wood, but at this price it is almost certainly an engineered top with a wood finish. Use a coaster and a desk mat to protect it.
Is it worth it compared with a plain rectangular desk?: If you have a free corner, the extra surface and built-in drawers are worth it. If your room has no corner, a straight desk gives more flexibility.
What do buyers say about the Corrigan Studio Latwon L-Shaped Steel Writing Desk?: Rated 4.5 out of 5 from 1,100 ratings.
