Our take on the Costway 19.5" Smokeless Fire Pit Stainless Steel

The Costway 19.5" Smokeless Fire Pit is a free-standing wood-burning fire pit in stainless steel, about 19 inches tall and 22 inches deep. Its smokeless design uses a double-wall airflow system that feeds air to the top of the fire, burning off smoke before it leaves the pit. It is a budget option in the smokeless category. The best new price is $129.99 at Target as of November 3, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is little price competition to shop around for.

Questions and answers

Is this fire pit really smokeless?
It cuts most smoke once the fire is hot, because the double wall feeds air to the top and reburns it. You will still get smoke during startup and with damp wood.
How does it compare with a Solo Stove?
It costs far less and works on the same secondary-burn idea, but the steel is thinner and the build is less durable. Expect a shorter lifespan and less heat.
What size logs does it take?
The firebox is small for a 22-inch pit, so use short, split logs rather than full-length pieces. Dry, seasoned wood gives the best smokeless results.
Is it worth $129.99?
At $129.99 at Target as of November 3, 2026, it is a cheap way to try a smokeless pit. If you want it to last many seasons, a heavier name-brand model is the safer buy.
Does it come with a cover or stand?
Most listings are the pit only, with no cover, poker or stand. Budget for a cover if it will sit outside.
When is the best time to buy?
Fire pits usually drop in late summer and around Black Friday. With only one new listing, watch Target for seasonal markdowns rather than expecting a broad price war.
Where is the Costway 19.5" Smokeless Fire Pit Stainless Steel cheapest?
At Target, for $129.99, as of our latest check.
