Our take on the Costway LJG Pre-Lit Artificial Christmas Tree Hinged Faux Xmas Tree

A 7-foot hinged artificial Christmas tree in green PVC with 400 warm white lights built in. The hinged branches fold out for setup and pack down for storage, and the pre-strung lights save the annual untangling job. At $41.89 on eBay as of November 5, 2026, it is the lowest of the 8 stores that list it new, well under what a 7-foot pre-lit tree usually costs.

Best forFirst-time tree buyers on a tight budgetRenters who want a full 7 ft tree without the messFamilies who want lights already strungAnyone replacing an old unlit tree
Pros
  • 400 warm white lights are already attached
  • Hinged branches speed up setup and takedown
  • 7 ft height fills a standard living room
  • PVC needles hold up to repeated packing
  • Low price for a pre-lit tree this size
Cons
  • PVC looks less natural than PE or real branches
  • 400 lights is modest for 7 ft; some owners add more
  • Hinges and light wiring are the usual failure points on budget trees
  • No remote or light modes mentioned

Questions and answers

Is this tree worth it at $41.89?
Yes, if you want a 7 ft pre-lit tree cheaply. That is the best new price across 8 stores as of November 5, 2026, and comparable pre-lit trees usually cost more. Expect a plastic look up close, not a premium one.
How long does setup take?
The hinged design means you drop the sections in, fold the branches down and spread them. Most people finish in 30 to 45 minutes, including fluffing.

The tree sections, the pre-attached light strings, a stand and usually a few spare bulbs and fuses. A storage bag is not typically included.
